Ina's Lifelong Commitment to Community Volunteerism includes:

   Cornell University Alumni Adminissions Ambassador Network (CAAAN) "CAAAN is the Cornell Alumni Admissions Ambassador Network, a group of nearly
     6,900 alumni volunteers who assist the Cornell admissions community in recruiting superior undergraduate applicants. CAAAN members [contact] local candidates who have 
     submitted | their application, to answer questions, provide a positive perspective on the University, and accumulate additional information about the applicant.
 
  Ina has helped many local High School seniors learn about Cornell, and helped Cornell Admissions reach out to them for three decades.

  ANASAZI FOUNDATION  "ANASAZI is an intervention resource for parents and professionals who are reaching out to help a child making at-risk choices.  ANASAZI Foundation is a non-profit (501c3) JCAHO-accredited and licensed behavioral healthcare provider for teens, young adults, and their parents located in beautiful Arizona."
Ina has provided continual off- and on-site medical, business, and executive coaching expertise to Anasazi Foundation for two decades.

   Stanford Business School Alumni-Student Mentor Program "The Alumni Mentor Program brings students and alumni together in a mutually beneficial partnership. It allows current students to explore different industries, functional areas, career paths, and personal goals; it also allows alums to play a vital role in student life at the GSB."
Ina has donated her time for nearly a decade mentoring Stanford Business School students, who will one day be our nation's leaders.  

   RotaCare "RotaCare is a nonprofit corporation formed for the purpose of providing free medical care to people who have the most need and the least access to medical services. It is a coalition of physicians, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, interpreters/translators and other volunteers who provide free medical care to the medically underserved in a collaborative effort with Rotary Clubs, hospitals, clinics, community and social service organizations and service groups."
Ina provided Internal Medicine and Pulmonary (Lung) care to the needy in our community as a RotaCare volunteer.

      Read Santa Clara  "Read Santa Clara offers free one-on-one or small group tutoring to English-speaking adults who want to improve their reading, writing and/or math skills
      ... community volunteers meet with learners once or twice a week for a minimum of two hours at ... Santa Clara locations."
 
   Ina helped Asian-American and Hispanic-American adult learners improve their reading skills through her volunteer work in Read Santa Clara.

   Silicon Valley Scholars "The Silicon Valley Scholars Program offers scholarships to make it possible for strong math, science, and technology students to attend highly competitive four-year colleges and universities that they otherwise could not afford."
Ina mentored a talented, needy Vietnamese-American young woman through High School graduation and then College at U.C. Davis.

   The Gorilla Foundation  "The Gorilla Foundation is a non-profit 501c3 corporation dedicated to the preservation, protection and well-being of gorillas through interspecies communication research and education. The foundation was established in 1976 and is best known for it's groundbreaking work with two western lowland gorillas, Koko and MIchael, who were taught to become fluent in American Sign Language."
Ina helped The Gorilla Foundation for over two decades by providing scientific, medical, and business expertise.

   Stanford Medical School Adjunct Clinical Faculty  "The Adjunct Clinical Faculty (ACF) physicians [participate] on a voluntary, part-time basis in the academic 
      programs of the departments, usually in the role of teacher. ... The knowledge, experience and perspective of the ACF and their allotment of time and effort are highly valued
      assets to the academic programs. ... Their role typically involves the teaching of Stanford students, housestaff, postdoctoral fellows and other physicians and staff.

    Ina helped Stanford medical students and their patients through her Clinical Faculty work, and earned the rank "Clinical Professor (Emeritus)."

  Lexington School for the Deaf  "The Lexington School for the Deaf/Center for the Deaf has served the broader Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Community of the
     New York metropolitan area since 1864. Since its founding as a school, Lexington has evolved to offer vital services in a range of important areas.  Lexington strives to be a
     leading educational, advocacy, and social service agency on behalf of deaf and hard of hearing individuals.".
   Ina helped deaf High School students communicate with and interact with hearing peers and taught herself the American Sign Language alphabet.

  Head Start  "Head Start [is a] comprehensive child development programs that serve children from birth to age 5, pregnant women,
   and their families [with] the overall goal of increasing the school readiness of young children in low-income families.
  Ina helped underprivileged preschool children in predominantly African-American & Hispanic communities prepare for Kindergarten.
